MU falls just short of breaking historical Sooner streak RedHawks defeat Rajun Cajuns in Game Two GAME ONE: No. 1 Oklahoma 9, Miami 7 NORMAN, OK -- Miami and No. 1 Oklahoma (15-0) went toe-to-toe Friday before the nation's top team pulled out a 9-7 victory with two runs in the bottom of the seventh. It was the first game at the Sooners new Love Field, and an OU record crowd of 4,450 was on hand for the occasion. With an 8-0 win over Liberty in Game Two, Oklahama moved its NCAA Division I-record winning streak to 86 games. Allie Cummins, Jenna Golembiewski, Karli Spaid and Holy Blaska blasted home runs for Miami, accounting for four of the RedHawks . . . . . . six hits on the day. OU also had six homers, with the final shot pushing across the winning margin. The RedHawksi wasted no time in showing they were ready to battle. Spaid's two-run homer scored Cummins and Blaska added a homer of her own for a quick 3-0 MU lead. While Miami would not score again until the seventh, Oklahoma chipped away with single runs in the first, fourth and fifth. A big four-run sixth put the hosts up 7-3. Cummins' two-run homer started MU's seventh inning scoring. Golembiewski and Spaid followed with their own circuit shots. However, catcher Kinzie Hansen capped the Sooner's 12-hit day with a two-run walk off homer. Addy Jarvis (4-1) took the loss for Miami, allowing five runs on eight hits. SJ Geurin (2-0) earned the win. GAME TWO: Miami 12, Louisiana 10
