GAME ONE
Miami handed Austin Peay (4-1) its first loss in Game One with a 14-4, five-inning victory. Jarvis Addy went the distance to pick up her second win of the young campaign. She surrendered four earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts, two walks and one HBP.

Miami's offense, meanwhile, took advantage of 12 walks, two hit batters and one Governors error over four turns at the plate. The RedHawks eight hits included six homers. Holly Blaska blasted two circuit shots, while Jenna Golembiewski, Karli Spaid, Sami Bewick and Kate Kobyashi stroked one homer apiece.

All 14 Miami runs came in two innings. The RedHawks plated eight runs in the second and six more in the fourth. Austin Peay scored two runs in the third and two more in the fifth.

GAME TWO
Ashley Hitchcock and Madilyn Reeves pooled their efforts on the mound as Miami  downed Evansville (0-5) 11-5 in the second game. Reeves -- a freshman -- threw four innings while finishing to pick up her first victory. She walked four (1 HBP) and struck out six while allowing two hits and two runs.  Hitchcock gave up three runs on three hits with two Ks and one BB.

Allie Cummings (2 hits, 1 BB, 4 RBIs) and Blaska (2 HRs, 2 RBIs)  led MU's offense in the RedHawks 11-5 victory over Evansville. Overall, seven RedHawks were part of the 10-hit attack.

Miami was up 3-0 before Evansville tied the contest with three runs in the bottom of inning three.

Blaska's solo home to center moved MU back in front, but the Purple Aces took their only lead of the game (5-4) with two runs in the fifth. It was all Miami after that. Spaid capped a five-run sixth with a blast to left. One inning later, Blaska hit her second homer of the game and fourth of the day-- a two run shot -- to complete scoring.
