MU and CMU both coming off big wins Fresh off a dramatic overtime win win at Ball State, the Miami RedHawks (9-9, 4-4 MAC) attempt to get over .500 for just the second time this season when they visit Central Michigan Tuesday. Click Read More . . . -- The Chippewas led most of the way and was in front 30-23 at intermission. However, UT took a brief 41-39 lead with 11:55 to go. Central Michigan regained the lead and moved out to a nine-point advantage (56-47) with 6:16 remaining. Toledo was unable to get closer than five after that until Dante Maddox Jr. hit a jumper with one-second left for the final 65-62 margin. -- Anthony Prichard led CMU with 20 points. Brian Taylor recorded a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. He also recorded two blocks and a pair of steals. Markus Harding had eight points and eight boards. -- CMU hit just 2 of 13 (23.1%) trey attempts and went 26 of 61 (42.6%) from the field overall. -- Central Michigan outrebounded Toledo 45-38 and edged the Rockets 46-30 on points in the paint. -- Toledo had won five straight before losing to CMU. -- Central Michigan ranks last/12th among MAC teams in scoring offense (65.7 ppg. It is fourth in scoring defense (73.0 ppg). -- The Chippewas offense is last in field goal percentage (41.6%) and last in 3-point shooting (30.0%). -- Central Michigan ranks 11th in turnover margin (-2.55) but is fourth in average turnovers per game (13.4 tpg). -- The Chippewas are third in blocked shots (3.19 per game). -- Miami shot 50.8 percent from the field while defeating Ball State 87-80 in overtime Saturday. -- Darweshi Hunter's trey with one second remaining tied the game and the RedHawks took early control with eight straight points to open overtime. -- MU hit 10 of its final 13 shots from the field. -- Ball State's Bashear Jihad erupted for a career-high 29 points -- 19 after intermission. -- Anderson Mirambeaux led MU with 16 points. Hunter and Ryan Mabrey followed with 15 apiece. Mekhi Cooper (12) and Bryson Bultman (10) also reached double figures. -- Miami is eighth among MAC teams in scoring offense (73.7 ppg) and seventh in scoring defense (74.5 ppg). It is fifth in field goal percentage (45.7%) and seventh in 3-point goal percentage (34.0%). -- Point guard Evan Ipsaro and guard Bradley Dean (both injured) did not play again Saturday at Ball State.
