Warren, Dzioban pick up weekly honors Two Miami RedHawks earned MAC football Week Nine Player of the Week honors, according to the league office.
MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week Jacquez Warren, Miami, Defensive Back Sophomore, Durham, NC (Southern Durham) Warren had five tackles and his first career pick-six in Miami's 27-9 win over Akron last Saturday. The sophomore intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter and returned it 62 yards for his first career touchdown. Warren was part of a defensive unit that forced three turnovers, four sacks and scored a touchdown. MAC East Division Special Teams Player of the Week Dom Dzioban, Miami, P Sophomore, Frankfork, Ill. (Lincoln Way East) Dom Dzioban averaged a career-best 48.1 yards per punt in Miami's 27-9 win at Akron last Saturday. The sophomore had three punts of over 50 yards, downed two kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line and had a long of 67 yards as well. Comments are closed.
