RedHawks listed at 36 in USA Today 1-133 poll By MIKE SMITH A USA Today poll, released today (Monday, Nov. 13) ranks college football Division I teams from 1-133. Naturally, there is interest at the top, where Michigan leads five teams with perfect 10-0 records. Georgia, Ohio State, Florida State and Washington follow. Mid-American Conference football fans might be interested where some of the MAC teams fall. Some were not that surprising. Some were. Toledo, which is a last-second field goal from being a perfect 10-0 itself, comes in at No. 25, with some really good teams behind it. Undefeated Liberty, for example, is one spot back at No. 26. The Miami RedHawks are at No. 36. Ironically, that puts them . . . . . . three spots IN FRONT of the other Miami (Fla). and four in front of Clemson. The Cincinnati Bearcats (3-7) are at No. 108 Ohio University is at No. 47, while this week's RedHawk opponent -- Buffalo -- is at 114. The Bulls have certainly looked better than that at times and will likely require a solid MU performance in all three phases. IF Miami can win, it should punch the RedHawks ticket for a MAC Championship game appearance. So, the incentive is there. Buffalo won last year's meeting, 24-20.
