Miami 2024 football schedule announced ![]() OXFORD, Ohio – On Tuesday afternoon, the Miami University football team, along with the Mid-American Conference, announced the 2024 football schedule. Marquee matchups for the defending MAC Champions include home contests versus Cincinnati and Ohio, with trips to Northwestern and Notre Dame. Miami, coming off of its best season since 2003, opens the year at Northwestern. After a bye, the RedHawks host Cincinnati on Saturday, Sept. 14 before traveling to Notre Dame (Sat., Sept. 21). The Red and White wrap up non-conference action at home versus UMass (Sat., Sept. 28). Miami will celebrate Western College during the 2024 Homecoming weekend versus the Minutemen with the theme of Celebrating the Spirit of Western: A Homecoming for Love, Honor and Legacy. The RedHawks, who are 42-17 in their last 59 conference games, begin . . . . . . defense of their MAC crown on Saturday, Oct. 5 in a 2023 MAC Championship rematch at Toledo. Other road conference games include trips to Eastern Michigan (Sat., Oct. 12), Ball State (Tues., Nov. 5) and Bowling Green (Fri., Nov. 29). Miami hosts Ohio (Sat., Oct. 19), Central Michigan (Sat., Oct. 26), Kent State (Wed., Nov. 13) and Northern Illinois (Tues., Nov. 19) in conference action. The contest against the Bobcats will be the first Saturday home game against OU since 2016 and will also be Miami University's annual Family Weekend game.
Miami returns 12 starters and nine All-MAC performers from last season's 11-3 squad, including Lou Groza Award winner Graham Nicholson, MAC Defensive Player of the Year Matt Salopek, quarterback Brett Gabbert and four starters along the offensive line.
