MU hoops cracks top 10; Dzioban earns grid POTW MU men's basketball ranked No. 10 The Miami University men's basketball team earned a spot on the Preseason Mid-Major Top 25® Poll for the 2025-26 season, as the Red and White rank No. 10 overall heading into this upcoming season. Behind fourth-year head coach Travis Steele, the men's team is coming off a season that saw the most wins in program history. Miami returns 10 players from 2024-25, highlighted by Peter Suder, who was picked Preseason All-MAC First Team, and Eian Elmer who was selected Preseason All-MAC Second Team. The RedHawks were also chosen to finish second in the 2025-26 MAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll. Now in its 27th season, the Mid-Major Top 25® is voted on by 31 Division I coaches. To view the complete Mid-Major Top 25® Poll, click here. Dzioban garners POTW honors On Monday, Dom Dzioban named Week 9 Mid-American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. Dzioban was perfect on Saturday, connecting on all four of his field goal attempts in Miami's 26-17 win over Western Michigan. The sixth-year senior made kicks of 44, 24, 29 and 51 yards.
