Saturday extravaganza will include Harper ceremony Saturday's Miami vs Northern Illinois men's basketball game will include an honorary degree recognition for former Miami basketball great Ron Harper. After leading MU through three seasons (1983-96), Harper went on to play for several NBA teams. His 15 pro seasons included five NBA champi0nships -- (Chicago Bulls 1996, 1997, 1998) and LA Lakers (2000, 2001). Saturday's action begins with the Miami women's basketball team (16-4, 8-0 MAC) facing Ohio at 1 p.m. The men's game will start at approximately 3:30 p.m. Yeah ... he was THAT GOOD!!!
