Undefeated Miami faces stiff test at Bowling Green Campbell-led Falcons have been impressive Miami hits the road for a conference contest at Bowling Green on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. The Red and White enter this game with a 13-0 record, its best start to a season in program history. Bowling Green, meanwhile, is currently 10-3 (1-0 MAC), and owns a four-game winning streak. The Falcons, who went 14-18 (8-10 MAC) last year. were selected to finish seventh overall in the 2025-26 MAC Coaches' Preseason Men's Basketball Poll. However, they have been impressive thus far and handed Ohio a 10-point loss in recent MAC play. Bowling Green and Miami (OH) will . . . . . . be meeting for the 154th time in program history with the RedHawks holding the all-time advantage, 92-61. The Falcons have the edge when hosting Miami (OH) with a 40-33 record in Bowling Green. Miami leads the MAC, and the nation, in field goal percentage (54.6), but the Falcons lead the MAC in field goal defense, holding teams to a mark of 40.2-percent from the field. Both BGSU and Miami rank inside the Top 10 in the nation for scoring margin with BGSU at eighth (24.2) and Miami ninth (24.0), being one and two in the MAC as well. The Orange and Brown currently lead the nation in steals per game, averaging 13.0, and rank second in turnovers forced per game (19.4). Head coach Todd Simon is in his third season with the Falcons. He leads the Falcons in points (15.5/game), assists (4.2/game) and steals (3.7/game). Senior forward Sam Towns has totaled the most rebounds (6.9/game), and senior forward Troy Glover II has produced the most blocks (1.2/game). Senior guard Javonte Campbell was selected to the Preseason First Team All-MAC team. He leads the Falcons in points (15.5/game), assists (4.2/game) and steals (3.7/game). Senior forward Sam Towns has totaled the most rebounds (6.9/game), and senior forward Troy Glover II has produced the most blocks (1.2/game). MORE NOTES:
• Miami's most recent outing was a 135-81 win over Milligan. It was the RedHawks first game without point guard Evan Ipsaro (likely out for the season). • The Miami University men's basketball team received six votes in the most recent Associated Press Top 25 men's college basketball poll on Monday, Dec. 22. • The Red and White earned its highest ranking of the 2025-26 season on the Mid-Major Top 25® Poll, as Collegeinsider announced that the RedHawks ranked No. 3 overall on Monday, Dec. 22 as well. • The RedHawks are just one of six teams that are still undefeated at the Division I level (Arizona, Iowa State, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska and Vanderbilt). • The RedHawks are currently shooting 54.6% from the field, 43.6% from the three-point line and 76.6% from the free-throw line. • Senior Peter Suder (ninth in MAC/102nd nationally) and sophomore Luke Skaljac (second in MAC/19th nationally) lead the RedHawks in assist turnover ratio.
