With the victory, Miami stayed alive and will face Ohio State in a game scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET. The Buckeyes are coached by former RedHawk Head Coach Kiran Kumar, who took over the OSU program this year. The Buckeyes are one of the nation's top offensive teams. Likewise, North Carolina entered the NCAA tourney with its best run production in program history. Ultimately, it would take the same for the RedHawks to win the 2025 MAC tourney. They found a way. Madilyn Reeves (23-11) scattered eight hits and Miami (35-24) blasted two home runs during an 8-2 RedHawks victory over Ohio (37-19) Saturday at Firestone Stadium. The only two Cardinals to reach base were a pair of hit batters -- one in each of the first two innings. It was the junior's first collegiate no-hitter. Miami had beaten BSU in Thursday's first game, but lost to Ohio 5-2 earlier Friday. That put MU in the loser's bracket, where it waited for the mid-afternoon matchup of No. 4 seed Ball State and No. 5 seed Akron to play out.
