Cardinals cool off 'Hawks, sweep Saturday DH ![]() MUNCIE, IN -- Ball State (26-11) pitchers put a sleeper hold on the Miami (25-18) offense Saturday as the Cardinals swept a double header 3-0 and 5-0. It was the first back-to-back losses for MU since March 1. Miami, which won Friday's series opener (7-4 in 8 innings), fell to 14-3 in MAC play. That is one loss better than Central Michigan (10-4) and Ohio (9-4). Ball State is now 11-5. The Cardinals staff ranks second among MAC teams in both ERA (3.82) and opponent batting average (.269).
